DHL Mexico

From it's creation in the year 1969, DHL has been able to meet with the express shipping and parcel needs of millions of customers, in the fastest, safest and most efficient manner.

In the year 1976, a new society named ''DHL de México'' was founded in Mexico City, with the sole goal of establishing Mexico as another destination for documents generated overseas.

In 1979, DHL begins operations in the city of Monterrey, and in 1980 became ''Handling Mexicana'', changing its name to ''DHL Internacional de México, S.A. de C.V.''.

Soon thereafter, DHL's worldwide experience started being recognized and appreciated by the Mexican market, and that is the reason why today its operations reach all across the country, offering the same world-class quality and services found in all of its global offices.

The influence that DHL amassed in Mexico was so great, that by 1990 it achieved something no other courier service before it had: starting operations in Cuba and promote communication between the island and the rest of the world, through Mexico.

By the year 2003, understanding the needs of an increasingly complex and demanding market, DHL took a great leap among the express shipping industry, by merging the German Deustche Post World Net, DHL Airborne and Danzas, among other companies. This resulted in the strongest and most reliable courier company in the world, specialized in document, cargo, and parcel express shipping, plus logistics solutions, all under one name: DHL.

DHL Express Mexico S.A. de C.V. (currently legal name) has generated in our country around 3,000 direct employment opportunities and other 1,000 indirectly. It operates a network of 57 stations with a sophisticated logistics scheme, in which 1,300 couriers participate, guaranteeing coverage in the 32 states and reaching out more customers also through its more than 400 points of sale.

DHL operates more than 1,400 ground vehicules, plus 12 domestic and 10 international flights, and has diverse commercial alliances with airlines.

Its operational network includes four transfer centers located in Mexico, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Mazatlan, as well as five International Gateways in Mexico, Saltillo, Guadalajara, Merida and Hermosillo.
